LaToya Larkin, known as Chefdivah, is the program coordinator of the Culinary Arts Program at Spring High School in Spring, Texas. She received her Master of Business Administration (Nonprofi t Management) from Springfi eld College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Culinary Management from The Art Institute of Atlanta and an Applied Associate Degree in Science with a concentration in Culinary Arts from The Art Institute of Houston. She is the owner and operator of Black Girl Tamales, home of creative fusion tamales where “South of the Border meets Southern Comfort Soul Food.” Signature tamale dishes include Collard Green with Smoked Turkey, Oxtail, Smothered Chicken, Smothered Pork Chop, Chicken Fajita, Blood Orange Pork Carnitas, Shrimp Etouffee, Crawfi sh Etouffee, and Red Beans and Rice.
