Grace Buckler, CIPP/E, CIPP/G, CIPP/US, CRISC, CISA, CISSP, PMP, is the Founder and CEO of THE PRIVACY ADVOCATE, a global privacy & information security consulting firm. Grace advises and supports public and private-sector organizations on governance, training, awareness, management strategies, compliance, and risk management efforts. Prior to founding THE PRIVACY ADVOCATE, Grace was Manager, Senior Security Engineer, and Information Assurance Engineer in the technology management services and cybersecurity practices of both U.S. and global firms. Grace is a faculty member of the world’s largest privacy association, the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), where she has also served as Vice Chair on the Certification Advisory Board.

Grace’s work in technical communication, information security, and privacy for organizations including the United States Secret Service (USSS), the Society for Technical Communication (STC), and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has earned her numerous awards in her 13 plus-year career which has comprised information privacy, IT audit, information security, cybersecurity, project management and technical communication. Among numerous organizations, Grace has delivered extensive consulting and program development support to the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Defense Security Service (DSS), the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Transportation Security Agency (TSA), and Freddie Mac.

Grace has contributed to numerous industry publications including course books. Her recent article on security and privacy collaboration was the cover article for the Information Systems Security Association’s February issue of ISSA Journal. Grace has been featured in numerous journals including IAPP’s Privacy Perspectives, by industry organizations including ISACA and ISSA as a global privacy speaker.
